How do I check my grades?
To find the Home Access Center (HAC) – Go to mckinneyisd.net. Go to “Quick Links” and pull down the menu. Choose “HAC” and login using your ID number with a small “s” in front of it. Visit the school library to find your password.

How do I find the teachers' websites to submit my homework?
To find Teacher Websites – Go to mckinneyisd.net. Find the tab at the top named “Students”. Scroll half way down the page and you will see Teacher Websites. Click and then choose your school. You will now see a list of all the teacher websites for you to choose your teacher. You can electronically send your homework to any teacher through the drop box on their website.

What online resources do we have here at Boyd and how do I access them from school or home?
To access the Boyd online databases for authentic research, please come into the library and pick up a complete list of databases available on a free, handy bookmark.

How long can I keep books and what about fines?
Our due dates run about three weeks depending on how holidays and weekends fall during that period. We will let you know the due date when you check out your material. To avoid late fees and fines, come by the library and let us know if you need to keep materials for longer than the due dates and we can renew what you have checked out. If a book is lost, you will be responsible for the replacement cost. Fees not paid will stay on your record and could affect your ability to attend school functions, obtain your VOE form for your driving permit, get a Boyd parking pass, or participate in Senior Week activities. If you get a call at home about fines, please come and see us and we will try to work with you to settle your library fines. Questions regarding textbook fines should be referred to Assistant Principal, Mark Ferrer at mferrer@mckinneyisd.net.

How many books can I check out at a time?
You can check out as many books as you can keep up with.

Can I check-out a calculator for my math and science class? What about a video camera?
Yes, you can. We have parent permission slips that you will need to get filled out. You can pick them up in the library or print them from this website, under the next tab. Once we have that on file, you are free to check out calculators or video cameras (based on availability).

What if I forget my password to log on at school?

Come into the library and we will attempt to get a new password for you. When you forget your log on password, we have to call to McKinney ISD Central Office and when available, they will change it for us by providing a temporary password for you. When you log on using the temporary password, you will get a prompt to choose a permanent password that you can remember. We ask if you have a cell phone, that you please put the new password in your phone so that you always have it available to you. With over 3,000 students in our building alone, we hope that you will remember your passwords. Central Office services all middle and high schools and our phone calls can overwhelm their work load quite quickly.

How do I purchase required reading books?
We have all of the required reading titles available for purchase in the library. They are paperback and are the exact versions used in the classroom. We accept cash and checks written out payable to MBHS. Tax is included in the price. We recommend purchasing books as soon as the assignments are given. Popular titles do sell out quick.
