If we had a nickel for every time that we heard someone in the community say these words, we might not be rich, but we would have a lot of nickels! Not a day goes by when these words are not spoken. We try very hard to keep our patrons up to date on activities and current events in the library. Occasionally, a patron may miss the information and will utter the infamous words. Here are the top then “I didn’t know that” moments in the Boyd Library:
10. We open before school and after and you don’t need a pass to hop on a computer during these times. (C’mon, say it with me…”I didn’t know that”!)
9. You can check out audio books for free with Overdrive through Boyd.
8. You can check out as many books as you can keep up with.
7. We have calculators and flip cameras available for check out with a parent signed permission slip.
6. We have access to the top educational databases available.
5. You have an email account through McKinney ISD with an attached 25G “Skydrive” personal cloud account available for storage that you can access from anywhere!
4. There is a live concert “Unplugged” before school every Friday morning with students from Boyd performing for your entertainment.
3. We have required reading titles for sale here in the Boyd Library with a complete list of books needed on our website.
